It just boils the water molecules to produce heat and does not use x-rays or gamma rays to make the food radioactive.

Microwaves when exposed, get completely absorbed into the food. Actually, the heat generated is caused due to the friction between food molecules and microwaves. As the microwaves are completely converted into heat, nothing is left behind to cause any harm.
Normally, microwaves don’t leak any radiation. If there is any fault in the door seals, then there is a change of radiation leak. Reasons for door seal faults include mechanical abuse, collection of dirt, simple wear and tear.

Please provide me review on Bosch convection 28 L oven
Bosch is well known for provided high-performance appliances. the 2 liters convection oven comes with 7 different cooking modes that let you bake, grill, combination, tandoor, reheating, motorized rotisserie, and defrosting. It is also equipped with 121 recipes of in-built programs including soups, snacks, rice, meat, and others. FryLite feature is also provided for frying purposes. However, it is a little bit pricey for the features it has. And some people complained about the customer service.
Hi yesterday I bought Bosch Convection 28 L capacity
Does anyone knows about this brand
Hi , I am planning to buy convection oven 23bc5 model ifb, is it good choice in this range?
Yes, it is a good appliance and overall performance is also good. The only drawback is that it doesn’t come with child-lock facility.
A well researched, structured and detailed blog. Found it extremely informational and helpful. Great work.
Could you please suggest which mode is better for baking cakes? Convection or convectional.
We recommend going for convection microwave oven as the heat produced will be circulated through fans. So, the heat will be distributed evenly which is important for baking process.
Great article ..a total valuable information
Hi .Thanks for sharing information. Can you suggest affordable microwave oven for middle class families
Usually, solo microwave ovens cost much lesser than convection.
How can I detect if the microwave is leaking radiation?
Hi,
In order to detect the leakage in a microwave, you need to have either a neon bulb or a fluorescent bulb. First take a microwave glass and fill it with water. Now open the microwave and place it at the centre of the microwave. Now close the door and dim the lights in the room. (For better results, make the room dark)
Now turn on the microwave and place the bulb as near to the microwave as possible. With the microwave running, move the bulb about the microwave’s front, back and sides. If the bulb glows at any point of time (even for a small glow), that particular area has a leakage in microwaves.
What about, 25bcsdd1 IFB microwave
Hey,
The IFB 25 L Convection Microwave Oven 25BCSDD1 is a 25-litre capacity oven which has almost all the same functional capabilities of the other IFB convection ovens.
It is a convection oven with a strong metallic body, a touch keypad, child lock and one year warranty and 3 years warranty on magnetron and cavity.
Unlike the 30BRC2 and the 20SC2, it does not have auto-cook menu options nor a starter kit. While it has 900 watts of power consumption, this slows down your cooking time compared to the other IFB variants. These and its price factor is the reason why we picked the 30BR2 and 20SC2 models instead of the 25BCSDD1 for our list.
I am planning to buy a new microwave oven for my home please suggest me the best one for a small 6 people house. also which brand should I prefer for it.

Hi I’ve been using my LG conventional microwave for more than 3 years now. Nowadays I observe my microwave oven getting switched off on its own and it’s really frustrating…
Hi there! Let me state the probable reasons for this.
You should approach a service center and get it repaired.
Hey! That was a wonderful article. I had recently purchased the LG 30L convection microwave oven. A doubt arises as to whether metal coated utensils are suitable to be used in it?
Hi Madhav! Metals are not preferable to be used in microwave ovens as they can damage it over time. Basically, metals are high conductors of heat. On striking the oven surface, issues like developing holes in the microwave oven wall, damage in electric components etc will occur. Though there may not be any high risk of accidents, it is still good to remain on the safe side.
Rather than metal, microwave safe utensils made from materials like Pyrex, ceramic, glassware materials are ideal. I would also like to suggest the best brands of microwave safe utensils depending on the material you are opting to use.
Tupperware crystal wave Generation 2
Treo
Yera Glassware
Sivica Porcelain
That was great reading your article. I just wanted to clarify whether the oven door can be open when it is in use?
The food inside will be perfectly cooked. But still it is not a good idea to use the oven when the doors are open as this may result in causing unexpected accidents.
Remember that the microwaves radiate energy when doors are kept open while operating. These are dangerous and will have its own effect on the sensitive organs of our body especially eyes. In addition to this, these waves will pass through the entire house heating up the walls in the surrounding area and even causing disturbance to the wi-fi connection. Sometimes the fluorescent light bulbs which are in its (microwave oven) vicinity, will start illuminating too.Though this may be in the rare case when the microwaves are running on its full power, but still being on the safe side is very important.
You may get a doubt here as “if these waves are so harmful, then what effect will it have on the food being cooked inside?”
Let me explain. Microwaves just allow the water molecules present in the food to vibrate and the energy gets converted to heat which cooks food. This absolutely does not allow food to absorb any radiation.
Hope this information helps!
hi, i recently tried to make popcorn in my microwave oven. but the corn is not popping in it. Is there any fault with the appliance.
Hi! If all the food other than popcorn are being heated well in your microwave, then there is no fault with the appliance. There may be some other reasons for this.
Rectify these issues and it will definitely work.
I’ve been using the microwave for last 2 years now. At times why does my microwave oven light get dim? Is it a major problem?
Hi Abhilasha, check your power supply. Sometimes, when there is a low voltage supply, the lights will appear dim.
Apart from this, if you set the power settings less than the normal, this will cause the light to be dim.
This is absolutely normal and does not cause any harm to the appliance. But if you are still concerned about it, then get the light replaced.
Hey there! Great article but I have a small question and hope you have an answer for me. Yesterday night, I decided to make a hard boiled eggs for myself in my LG microwave oven. I set the timer for about 15 minutes just to be sure. The egg straight up exploded inside the microwave oven just after 45 seconds or so. The oven is a bit mess and I’m not sure what went wrong here. Should I be really cooking eggs in a microwave oven? If so how? I’m looking for any solutions that might help me
Hi, Eggs along with their shell when boiled in a microwave have a greater chance of exploding. This is so because the shells will aggravate to the heat and break faster. This may result in a lot of spillage around the oven and chances for the shell to damage the oven. Hence to prevent any such future explosions, try any of the following methods after cleaning up the oven.
For cleaning the oven, allow the oven to cool before you clean it. Use a cloth to wipe out the spoilage. In case of the oven not working from next usage, try contacting the customer support of the microwave company. If you are within your service .
Soft Boiling:
Try pouring an egg directly into a small cup and then microwave it for about 4 minutes or so in half power.
Hard Boiling:
If you wish for a hard boiled egg, then place the in enough water into a bowl to submerge the eggs but not to overfill the bowl. Also, add half a tablespoon of salt into the bowl of water for easier peeling and for the eggs not to crack and explode. Make sure that the microwave is at 50% of power.
Now try heating the egg in 15-20 second increments at low powers. Once you have got a soft boiled egg, remove the shell to finish the boiling.
