6 Best Digital/Smart Door Locks in India 2022 Reviews & Buying Guide

A digital lock is a low cost yet very easy to install alternatives to conventional lock and keys. They provide high security compared to an easily breakable metal lock. With the increase of unrest and the need for better safety on the rise, a digital lock is a perfect guardian that protects your locker, home or any other area of choice.

With more and more sophisticated locking technologies on the rise, you would be looking at the following three major factors to decide whether the lock of your choice is perfect or not.

• The technology of the lock: Is the lock pure digital or electrical? There is no clear winner but your need decides your choice. For instance, an electrical lock is good for minor storage boxes, houses or rooms. A pure digital lock maybe something that has AI or other sophisticated home automation technology embedded into it which might prove ideal for locking houses etc.,
• Strength: Obviously the next important factor would be the strength of the lock. How strong is it against any sort of blunt force or can it withstand any sort of drilling equipment? All the answers depend on how strong material is used in the making of the lock
• Unlocking mechanisms: This again is purely user experience-dependent. Digital locks majorly are available in pattern, password, biometric or combination settings. See whichever fits your security level needs and then pick those.

Apart from these 3, there are a lot of other major factors that help in deciding whether a lock is good for you or not. We shall discuss all of these and a few more in the Buying Guide section of this article. Be sure to give that a read as well.
